What would you be willing to do in order to lose 10 or 15 pounds by the start of Summer?
If you believed you could drop some of the extra weight that has been holding you back, and you wouldn’t have to starve yourself or workout an hour a day, would you do it?
That little bit of weight loss is probably not far off, but it isn’t going to come off without a little added effort.
Our client Kelly wanted to make some better progress toward her weight loss when January rolled around, so she enrolled in our 6 Week Clean & Lean Challenge.
By the end of the challenge Kelly was down over 17 pounds, losing 6% of her body weight.
And this wasn’t a punishing program, either. Kelly worked out three days a week, mostly strength training (no running or crazy workouts!) and ate healthy.
The rules of the challenge dictated eating only fresh, whole foods, so no junk food, processed sugar or liquid calories.
Kelly wasn’t perfect, either. She went off the guidelines a few days out of the 42. But for the most part, she stuck with it. That consistency paid off in a big way on the scale.
Kelly isn’t the only one who saw great results, either.
Lara was our second place winner with over seven pounds of weight loss and 4% of her body weight.
Curt came in third, losing 3% of his body weight, an awesome seven pounds.
Many other challengers lost between three and five pounds and dropped body fat. And while those numbers might sound insignificant, they are reflective of true body fat loss, not just water weight, and are a very healthy and realistic weight loss for a six week time frame.
The challenge was a great kick-start for many participants. If they continue with their eating and exercise the scale will continue to drop.
While we at Fitness Evolution are not big fans of 30 Day Diets or Extreme Weight Loss Programs, we do like short-term accountability challenges that encourage sane and sustainable healthy eating and a realistic and achievable amount of strength training and daily movement for exercise.
With Summer nearly here and many people ready to get out and get moving, and also lose weight, we thought it was the perfect time to offer another challenge.
The Transform in 4 Challenge is a four week challenge to eat real food and avoid processed junk, alcohol and bread. (It is not as hard as it sounds!!)
Plus we will be providing Small Group Training and additional workouts (that can be done at home) so participants can exercise 3-4 days per week.
We aren’t promising any crazy weight loss like 30 pounds in four weeks, but ten pounds is extremely realistic and can happen if you do the challenge and stick with it.
That ten pound loss would feel pretty good come Memorial Day, and could be the start of even more progress.
If you’re tired of struggling with those last stubborn pounds and you need a push to do the things you know you should, like eat health and exercise regularly, the Transform in 4 Challenge could be just what you need.
